The point of exfoliating is to help remove dead cells from the surface of the skin. It can help the skin feel smoother, softer and have an even tone and brighter appearance. It prevents the build-up of dead skin cells which make your skin feel rough, cracked, and dull. Without removing these dead cells, it is harder for the skin to retain moisture. We suggest exfoliating once or twice a week. But no abrasives are necessary!

Our exfoliator is packed with healthy, skin-friendly oatmeal; soothing and anti-inflammatory it alleviates irritation, discomfort and inflammation. It also leaves a protective barrier on the skin which prevents moisture loss. Added to the oats are rosepetals, because of their colour and moisture-retentive properties. Rose geranium essential oil is reputed to be excellent for the skin's elasticity, while lemon verbena lifts the spirits and clears the skin. Violet leaves are there to soothe and cool, while glycerine helps maintain moisture.

METHOD: Blend 20ml (4 rounded teaspoons) of the dry mix with 10ml (2 teaspoons) of the liquid in an eggcup. It should have a creamy, smooth consistency. Add more liquid if it is too stiff to apply easily. Spread the moist mix over face and neck, working it into the skin with the fingertips in circular movements. As it dries, it will roll off, removing dead cells and deep cleansing your skin. Rinse face well. Then apply Face Care oil and moisturiser.
