Father of the Day
Our Top Dads Round Up...
Today we are selecting our final Top Dad from a crowded shortlist. All have loved their children, if in their own way: perhaps it would be best if we placed them in categories:
Most Unorthodox Dad: The Father of a Boy Named Sue. Most Predictable Dad (Often Not In A Good Way): Homer Simpson. Most Awesome Dad: Darth Vader (also gets Coolest Dressed Dad and Best Not Rubbed Up Wrong Way Dad). Most Doting Dad: Yours. Most Interestingly Named Dad: Neville Neville, father of Gary and Phil. Best Dad Also Pope: Alexander VI, father of Cesare and Lucrezia Borgia (and at least six more).
Most Affecting Dad Story: After President Kennedy's assassination, his young son, John, asked a visitor to his home: "Are you a daddy?". The man said he was. "Then will you throw me up in the air?" asked John.
But The Most Outstanding Dad Of Them All award really must go to Adam, the First Dad. Not only had he to cope with being flung out of the Garden of Eden and one of his sons killing the other, but he didn't even have a best mate to go down the pub with and complain about it all.
Nor indeed, did he have the opportunity to try the paradisicial skin care offered by Great Elm. Your Dad could be much luckier. Why not give him our award-winning shaving oil: an oil so fine that it allows the blade to glide and, crucially, to see what he's doing, while also discreetly moisturising and leaving a fragrance - our beguiling mix of Starflower and Juniper - which isn't so sweetly cloying that it induces fiercely watering eyes and a desire to flee in anyone within five metres. All this and an impressively economic 40 shaves from our 10ml bottle.
He will be even more impressed by one of the stars of our range, the Great Elm Men's Travelling Light kit, featuring our superbly stylish pouch, a bottle of our shaving oil, and a tin of our legendary Bay Leaf balm, for soothing the minor scratches and irritations of travel. All for £29.95 at http://www.great-elm.com/search.asp?departmentID=16
