New season of 'green' and artisan fairs
Artisans and small businesses need YOU to keep them alive!

Great Elm has already been part of a couple of excellent days out - such as the lovely (if blustery) event in Wiltshire/Dorset border country at the Larmer Tree Gardens with the incomparable ladies of The Anonymous Travelling Market. Soon - April 16 & 17 - we're in London at the nation's premier green event, UK AWARE; then back to Wiltshire's Compton Marbling Spring near Salisbury on 23 & 24 April. And plenty more after that.

Our favourite fairs are small, relaxed and good fun, with all sorts of items that you can't find in high street shops or chain stores.  AND you meet the people directly involved in making them - that's a wonderful way to buy.  It's more personal for you, much, much more fun AND you're supporting small businesses and artisans who need all the help they can get, particularly now despite all the talk of economic green shoots.  They aren't very visible to nano-establishments such as ours and the many like us.  Inevitably, due to our lack of push-power, we don't get much from Government, local or national and it seems unlikely that any Chancellor, of any party, will give us much of a thought pre- or post-election.  So you can imagine how important YOU are to us:  we look forward to meeting you before long!
